i’m a big cheater. i can never keep to just 10 images and i knew i was shooting for this 10 on 10 back in december.
these are some of my favorite images from our whirlwind trip to NYC. i also bitterly complain that i don’t get to shoot enough when we travel. in a way, it’s true. i had such grand plans for how/what/where i’d shoot. in the end, i knew using the trip for my 10 on 10 post would force me to realize that even though i may not have shot fully everything i had hoped and dreamed in one little trip, i still was able to observe and absorb the city and my family.

please be sure to check out the strapping lad of our crew; Mr. Joel Chapman!

Love these! Almost makes me miss NY. Almost…
that’s always the best part Posy, going home!
Lovely. Wish there were more.
ha! that can be arranged. thanks friend. hey…a trip to DC is in my spring/summer future. trying to keep all parties in the loop.
i found myself upset when i couldn’t scroll through a hundred. words don’t do these justice. they say something on their own so much better. so in their beauty, is perhaps a lesson for me to shut up sometimes. the details, the sweeping feeling of these, the connections, the sense of place. you nailed it. these need a soundtrack. and i really would love to see more if you are up for sharing…xoxoxo love you
i would make chris babysit our kids and go on endless walks with you and our cameras. it’s so good for the soul. thank you always for your words, friend.
That top shot made me tear up. I’m a sucker for “Three Little Birds.” That’s a sublime shoot!
of course you are Erika, because so.am.i.
I FRICKIN LOVE THESE!!!!! I always have grand plans and they are always tempered by enjoying and keeping up with my family so I know how you feel friend. I really see you finding such a beautiful creative place and passion in these images. I adore NYC and would love to go back and take photos at some point, new places and unexpected people are so exciting to capture. xo
